The Wickerwork basket, with a history spanning over 150 years, was once the primary method of transporting goods such as potatoes and turf in Ireland. These baskets were also used in the Belleek factory to move pottery between departments. This iconic design was first introduced in the 1880s when Belleek designer Michael Maguire combined the basketweave pattern with Shamrocks, resulting in the renowned Belleek Shamrock pattern.
To enhance its premium appeal, gold lines were added to give the range an elevated and luxurious finish.
